Christmas in Vietri sul Mare is a time of warmth, tradition and shared joy, where the charm of this coastal town is enhanced by lights, music and events for all ages. During the festive season, Vietri offers a rich programme that blends local traditions with entertainment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for families, visitors and residents alike.
From early December to Epiphany, the streets, squares and neighbourhoods of Vietri sul Mare come alive with concerts, performances for children, Christmas markets and the much-loved living nativity scene in Albori. Music plays a central role, ranging from band concerts and gospel choirs to street performances, while children are the true protagonists of many events dedicated especially to them.
Whether strolling through the Christmas Village, enjoying live music by the sea or taking part in festive celebrations that extend into the New Year, Christmas in Vietri sul Mare offers an authentic and joyful experience on the Amalfi Coast.
Christmas Events Programme – Vietri sul Mare 2025
On 6 December at 11:00 am, in Rione Marina, the festivities begin with Christmas Town – In Search of Santa Claus, a children’s show by Compagnia Citrea.
On 7 December, Rione Marina hosts Symphonia Costa d’Amalfi at 11:00 am, followed at 11:00 pm by a live concert by Musicastrò.
On 8 December at 8:00 pm, still in Rione Marina, a grand band concert titled “Vietri sul Mare” takes place.
From 13 to 24 December, Piazza Della Porta in Marina becomes the heart of the celebrations with the Christmas Village, featuring Santa Claus’ House, daily children’s shows and entertainment, and an ice-skating rink.
On 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 December at 6:30 pm, Santa Claus visits Vietri Marina.
From 19 to 21 December, Piazza Amendola in Molina hosts the Christmas Markets, with food stalls and entertainment.
On 21 December, several events are scheduled:
– at 10:30 am, a Musical Gospel Choir performs in the streets of Vietri;
– from 5:00 pm, the Living Nativity Scene (46th edition) takes place in Albori;
– at 7:00 pm, DJ Bambini entertains families in Molina;
– at 8:00 pm, Christmas Tales by Arte in Movimento are performed in Acquafredda.
On 22 December at 10:30 am, Natale dei Bambini (Children’s Christmas) is held in Piazza Punzi, Dragonea.
On 23 December at 10:30 am, Natale dei Bambini continues in Piazza Amendola, Vietri.
On 24 December from 12:00 pm, Piazza Amendola hosts the Christmas Disco Show.
Events from 27 December to 6 January
On 27 December at 10:30 am, Natale dei Bambini returns to Piazza Amendola in Molina, while at 7:30 pm in Acquafredda the event Stories of Christmas from Around the World takes place as part of the Estate Classica series.
On 28 December at 10:30 am, the Boomerang Street Band performs through the streets of Vietri, and from 5:00 pm the Living Nativity Scene (46th edition) is staged again in Albori.
On 29 December at 11:00 am, in Rione Marina, children can enjoy Who Kidnapped the Befana?, a show by Compagnia Citrea.
On 30 December at 11:00 am, the children’s show Cattivo Babbo Natale is held at the Villa Comunale in Vietri.
On 31 December, from 12:00 pm, Piazza Amendola hosts the Christmas Disco Show and New Year’s music celebrations.
Later that evening, at 9:00 pm, the New Year’s Concert takes place in Piazza Amendola, featuring the grand band concert “Vietri sul Mare”.
January 2026
On 4 January at 7:00 pm, in Largo San Giovanni, Vietri, the children’s show Adolph Dal Masio Kusso by Compagnia Citrea is performed.
On 5 January, the Living Nativity Scene (46th edition) returns to Albori from 5:00 pm, while at 6:30 pm in Molini the event Pignata e Cinema takes place.
Later, at 7:30 pm, Stories of Christmas from Around the World is staged at Spazio Porto in Dragonea.
On 6 January, Epiphany celebrations begin at 10:30 am in Piazza Amendola, Vietri, with La Befana… comes by day.
From 5:00 pm, the ucoro living Nativity Scene (46th edition) takes place once again in Albori, followed at 6:00 pm by a Gospel Concert by Francesca Bonincasa in Vietri sul Mare.
