The Amalfi Coast and beyond
Amalfi Coast towns are part of a piece of land different from the rest of the coast. During the last geological era, the quaternary, the Salerno Gulf collapsed, and for this reason the coast is so steep now. The high rocks are now a symbol of Campania.
As the crow flies, the Amalfi Coastline Italy is on the same line of Balearic Isles, Sardinia and North of Greece, so you can imagine the warm climate.
The flora of the Coast is typical of Mediterranean area, and you can find two kind of beaches: the rocky ones, and the sandy ones.
Here is the list of the towns that belong to Amalfi Coast:

Welcome to “La divina”
The landscape is made of sea and mountains, with creeks and coves often attainable only by sea, such as for example the wonderful cave, grotta dello Smeraldo in Conca dei Marini and Furore fiord. In some areas nature is completely uncontaminated. The area is occupied by Lattari Mountains, of calcareous nature: the highest mountain is Monte S. Angelo a Torre Pizzi (1425 m).
The italian coastal town is characterised by the typical cultivations on the terraced land where the most important product is lemon and other citruses. Lemons are mostly sweet; they can also be eaten in slices, as a dessert, with or without sugar.
A legend tells that the inhabitants of Minori convinced the Pope to give them back the bishopric giving him as a present a basket with lemons and other citruses. Lemons are used for cakes and to make the “limoncello”, a traditional yellow liqueur famous all over the world.
Amalfi Coast Italy
What did you know about Italy before planning this trip? Just pizza, mamma mia and godfather? It isn’t so wrong, because we make a good pizza and eat a lot of it, we say mamma mia as exclamation and a good percentage of the Italian population has a godfather or godmother (but not as in the movie).
Well, we are much more than these things, Italy is very good in tourism and wonderful in nature. It isn’t very good in politic, but this is another story!
If you come to you will realize that our land is really cozy, it’s in our dna. You will find cozy staff in the hotels, cozy waiters in the restaurants and even cozy drivers in your buses, it’s incredible, but true.
Food is an amazing thing, everyone in the world like it, and it isn’t this heavy as people say: Italian population is on the last positions in the UE obesity chart! If you are vegan or celiac, there will surely be a restaurant or a dish for you.
